Painting instructions
Preparations
Remove dust from the surface to be treated. Remove loose old paint with a scraper and sand the surface. Brush off dust, fill cracks and holes, remove nail heads. Wash dirty surfaces with Uula Washing Agent following the instructions. Allow to dry thoroughly before treating.
Undercoat
Paint new wood floors with Uula Floor Paint that has been thinned 20 % and previously painted floors with Uula Floor Paint that has been thinned 10 % with Uula Universal Thinner. Paint thin layers and let it dry.
Finishing coat
Paint 1–2 coats with Uula Floor Paint and thin with Uula Universal Thinner if necessary.
Further treatment of the surface
Be really careful with all painted surfaces during the first month. Clean the surface only with soft rags and sponges that do not scratch the surface. Use only neutral washing agents. Rinse the surfaces carefully.
Points to note
- Reserve enough paint for a large surface in order to avoid potential colour
variations in different batches. - The paint must always be stirred well before and during use.
- It is distinctive of oil paints in light colours to turn yellowish in the dark.
- In all cases of uncertainty, please contact the manufacturer or a competent distributor before use.
