Methyl Cellulose

Methyl cellulose is derived from cellulose. It has many fields of application.
Methyl cellulose has been used as a binder in traditional paints & plasters.
Weak methyl cellulose and water soution is suitable for priming surfaces before painting. The same mixture is suitable as a fixing layer on plasters. Does not change colour.
You can mix pigments into methyl cellulose solution.

Primer: 5g + 1L water

Finishing primer: 4g + 1L water

Wallpaper glue: 20g + 1L water

Mix dry powder slowly with 1/3 of water amount avoiding lumps. Then add rest of water and leave for 12h before usage.
